Fall of 2001, Thai Gourmet
opened its door to greet its first customer and became the first
and only Thai restaurant in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The master chefs,
with over 10 years of experience cooking Thai cuisine, created the
all-Thai menu for the restaurant. The menu selection consists of
Thai soups, noodle dishes, stir-fries and curries. Various dishes
are also available for vegetarians.
Thai Gourmet was featured in the Top 40 list of Dennis R. Getto’s
favorite ethnic restaurant in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (The
review "Thai
Gourmet a hot new place for dining on a Kenosha visit"
was published in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on February 24,
2002,). Dennis recommends that "next time you're heading back
from Illinois, keep this reasonably priced restaurant in mind. About
three miles east off Interstate 94 (exit Highway 50 and turn north
on Highway 31). Thai Gourmet offers some great dishes like Pineapple
Rice, Ginger Snapper and excellent duck and curry dishes. Serveral
vegetarian dishes are available and are quite good".
